My Philosophy of Life
Karen Renee Gomez
My Philosophy of Life, which I posted as my Bio on Facebook (probably 20 years ago), is as true today, as it was all those years ago.
AI Definition: A philosophy of life is a person’s overall attitude toward life, and their beliefs about how to live it.
It’s a set of core ideas that shape how a person thinks, feels, and acts.
As you struggle through a challenge, keep in mind…you are learning something – what works, what doesn’t, sometimes it’s a Life Lesson. The important thing is – DON’T EVER GIVE UP!!! Forget the Mistake, Remember the Lesson!! The satisfaction of accomplishment builds confidence, and with that confidence, you’re always going to be a little more prepared to tackle the next challenge!
Remember…You only fail when you STOP TRYING!
I posted this again on Instagram a few years ago, instead of 5 Safety Tips, but I originally wrote it for my FB Bio maybe 20 years ago! I mentioned that if you know me personally or have been reading the quotes I’ve been posting for a while, you can see that it was and still is My Philosophy of Life.
I believe in love, kindness and doing for others. I believe in kind words, not criticism. I believe in the power of positive thinking. I believe that I should always give 110% so it’s my bests effort. I believe everything in Life is a test, and whether it has a positive or negative outcome, I’ve learned a lesson from it. I believe in the power of a simple smile and the power of a sincere compliment. I believe in honesty, integrity and sincerity. I believe that if I think I can, I can, and if I think I can’t, I can’t. I believe in everything in moderation. I believe that happiness is achieved by giving, not getting. I believe in taking a moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounds me every day … the brilliant blue sky, bright splashes of colors in the flowers, myriad shades of green and all of the colors in between. I believe “The Earth laughs in flowers!” (Ralph Waldo Emerson) I believe we should laugh a lot. I believe we are what we think.
I believe that each of us can make a difference.
